EXIF Metadata Reader
Extract EXIF metadata from a JPEG: camera make/model, lens, exposure settings, timestamps, orientation and GPS coordinates as decimal lat/lon. The OSINT-standard check for where a photo really came from — parsed in memory, never stored.
🔌 Server-side tool
This tool runs on the server (it fetches third-party URLs directly and cannot run in your browser). Use the paid JSON API below — the worked examples show real server-side results and refresh automatically.

About this tool
Reads the EXIF block of a JPEG — camera and lens, exposure triangle, timestamps, orientation and GPS position converted to decimal coordinates. Only two examples fit here because uploads are binary: POST the base64 image to the API. In-memory parsing, immediate privacy verdict on embedded location data.
Frequently asked questions
Which formats have EXIF?
Primarily JPEG (APP1 segment). PNG/WebP/HEIC carry metadata in other containers — feed those through a converter first or use image-info for dimensions.
Why would an agent need this?
Verification and OSINT: confirming a photo's claimed origin, checking whether location data leaks in user uploads, or reading capture settings before quoting a photo as evidence.
